Problem 1

Suzuki Swift: Infotainment screen freezes or loses CarPlay/Android Auto

Common 2017–2024 · all engines

What goes wrong

Software faults in the factory head unit, and poor-quality USB cables causing disconnections.

How to check it yourself

Try a short, good-quality data cable and see if the problem stays.

The usual fix

Ask a dealer for a head-unit software update; a unit stuck in a boot loop needs a reset or replacement.

Problem 2

Suzuki Swift: Mild-hybrid warning or sluggish restarts

Occasional 2020–2026 · 1.2 DualJet mild hybrid

What goes wrong

The small lithium-ion mild-hybrid battery weakens. Below about 5 °C the system deliberately stays off until it warms up, which is normal.

How to check it yourself

Note whether it only happens in the cold (normal) or also when warm; read the hybrid system codes.

The usual fix

If it persists when warm, the mild-hybrid battery is replaced by a dealer; check the warranty.
